Bio: Jocelyne Bia has over 20 years’ experience working in the energy sector as a communications professional, initially with Total Oil Great Britain, then with the industry’s Sector Skills Council Cogent – which she helped launch – before taking on the role of Communications Director at the Energy Institute in London from 2004 until 2017. In late 2027, she joined We Are Orchard, the management agency for the Anaerobic Digestion and Bioresources Association (ADBA) and the World Biogas Association (WBA), and now works as Head of Corporate Communications, PR and Brand Management for these organisations.
A native from Le Mans (France), she holds a BA in English and spent most of her working life in the UK, initially working for a publishing house specialising in motorsport before touring the world as Press Officer for the McLaren F1 Team from 1994 to 1996.
More recently, she has been leading communications and dissemination activities for EU Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe research projects on biogas, bioplastics and biotextiles.
